- Implanted AgeYoung AdultHearing LossSlowly ProgressiveImplantedRightIk werk als redacteur/projectmanager bij een marketingbureau. Daarnaast speel ik in een theatergezelschap en werk ik als actrice/entertainer op verschillende bedrijfsevenementen. Het spreekt voor zich dat ik voor deze activiteiten veel moet luisteren en een goed gehoor dus erg handig is. Toch heb ik altijd mijn hart gevolgd, ondanks mijn handicap. Ik heb altijd de dingen gedaan die ik wilde doen. Maar het werd mij natuurlijk wel steeds lastiger gemaakt omdat mijn gehoor achteruit ging.
- Implanted AgeYoung AdultHearing LossRapidly ProgressiveImplantedLeftIk ben moeder van twee jonge kinderen en ben geboren en getogen in Brabant, maar tegenwoordig alweer wat jaartjes woonachtig in Zeist. Vanwege de topsport (mijn partner is volleyballer) wonen wij een deel van het jaar in Italië. Dit zal zijn totdat onze oudste naar school toe gaat. Ik werkte als pedagogisch begeleider op een zorggroep voor jonge dove kinderen, maar vanwege ons verblijf in Italie heb ik mijn baan opgezegd.

Na plotsdoofheid in 2006 opleiding aan fotovakschool gaan doen en na CI-operatie en revalidatie freelance fotograaf geworden naast baan aan TU Eindhoven als systeembeheerder. Door CI veel beter gaan spraakverstaan en zodanig veel zelfvertrouwen dat werken als freelancer geen enkel probleem is. Ik blijf uiteraard nog altijd slechthorend, maar heb totaal geen vrees meer om iets verkeerd te verstaan en stap met veel zelfvertrouwen bij klanten binnen.
